Placement Opportunities

This is a listing of community placements in Poughkeepsie and surrounding areas. As new opportunities become available, they will be posted on the web. We shall try to give you your first choice in placement. Also, if you have an idea of what you would like to do, and it is not listed, we will do our best to locate the position that you want.

Because of frequent changes in agency personnel and in the needs of an agency, we do not provide detailed job descriptions. We have available in the office, for most of the agencies, evaluations of the placements from former field work students; you are welcome to read them.

Field work credit is available through many academic departments. There is a prerequisite or co-requisite of at least one course in the department. (see academic requirements)
